In response to COVID-19, Darwin, Palmerston and Malak CatholicCareNT service and programs including Counselling, Crime Victims, Youth Services, Childrens Contact Centre, Financial, Wellbeing & Capability, AOD services, Children and Parenting, Community Mental Health, Intensive Parenting Program,  Housing Support, and Emergency Relief remain committed to supporting individuals, families and communities.  As always, our priority is the safety, wellbeing, and health of our staff, participants, families and the communities we serve.  CatholicCare has developed a Business Continuity Plan and established robust internal and external precautions and guidelines for continuous program and service operations.

The majority of our programs and services are business as usual, with services extended to provide participants online and telephone services . Some service delivery activities have been modified.  These include Home visits, transport and youth community outreach.  

Face to face groups have been cancelled, these include NO More, Men’s Behaviour Change Program and Malak Childrens & Parenting Groups. However, we are continuing to provide services through the development and provision of virtual videos, a range of online platforms, and telephone contact to all participants who were attending groups.

We also have developed a dedicated COVID 19 1800 number operated by a range of clinical staff from 8.30am – 5.00pm daily.
