Caring for someone with an eating disorder can be overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating especially when you live in a regional or remote area of the Northern Territory.
Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA) provide support to all eating disorder carers across the Northern Territory. Through online services, they provide support, connection, education, and lived experience advocacy to help you navigate the challenges of supporting a loved one with an eating disorder.
You can download an overview of available supports and services below.
NT Carers Summit on Eating Disorders

On Wednesday the 7th of October, EDFA will be holding the NT Carers Summit on Eating Disorders, bringing together carers, experts, and lived‑experience voices from across the Northern Territory.
This forum is designed to elevate NT family and carer voices, build strong collaboration across sectors and identify practical services gaps with the goal of improving equity and access to services.
EDFA are currently seeking eating disorder carers who may be interested in taking part in the Carer Panel during this event.
